To properly build this Bat House have some type of experience with woodworking and you must make use of several dangerous tools such as a skill-saw and/or table-saw. If you do not have experience or are not comfortable using these tools we strongly recommend that you do not attempt to do so. If this is the case you can print out the pans and bring them to any handyman or carpenter and they can build the Bat House for you very easily.

We strongly recommend that you don't try to build or install this house by yourself. Bat houses can be heavy and awkward to lift and might have splinters from the rough pine that is used. Attempting to lift and/or erect this bat house by yourself could lead to serious injury or death. To construct a Suburban Bat House you must make use of several dangerous tools. Tools such as tapes measures, table-saw, cordless drill etc. These tools can be very dangerous if used incorrectly or by an inexperienced person. Use of Ladders

To install the Suburban Bat House over an existing gable vent you will need to make use of a ladder. As you know working on ladders can be very dangerous. We strongly suggest that if you are not very familiar with working on ladders that you hire a professional to install this bat house for you. If you should fall off a ladder while installing your bat house BatGuys LLC will not be held responsible for any damages that occur as a result of your fall. Water Damage

It is very important that you use a high-quality water-proof caulking (such as GE #2 silicone or other water-proof sealant) when installing the Suburban Bat House (Instructions will be provided in the plans). If you do not use a water-proof sealant around the edges and especially the top of the bat house you may get a leak around your existing gable vent. By clicking the link at the bottom of this page you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for sealing these areas properly and all other actions associated with the building/installation of your Suburban Bat House and that BatGuys LLC will not be held responsible for any water-damage that may occur due to the improper installation of the Suburban Bat House.
