Local Wildlife Information for the Greater Plymouth Area
Plymouth Bat Control
Both Large Brown and Small Brown bats are found in the Plymouth area. Southern Plymouth (Manomet) is where we see large numbers of little brown bats in the summer months. These bats migrate up the coast in the spring and spend the winter in this area. This past July we evicted a colony of over 150 of these bats from a waterfront home on Great Herring pond in Plymouth. Every year we complete many successful bat exclusion services in these towns. The large brown bats are more common and we get calls for these bats every month of the year. If you live in the greater Plymouth area and have a problem with bats in your house or attic please check out our bat control page for more information on bat removal and exclusion in the Plymouth area.
Plymouth Squirrel Removal
Both Gray squirrels and Flying squirrels are found in towns on the South Shore. Gray squirrels are more common squirrel in this area. Flying Squirrels are found in towns that are more inland as they seem to stay away from the coast. One good way to tell which type of squirrel you have is by the time of day in which you hear the noise. If you're hearing noise in the morning, during the daytime and then again at dusk you most likely have gray squirrels. If you're hearing noises at night than it's most likely flying squirrels.
If you are hearing noises in your attic or you have seen squirrels on your roof please visit our Massachusetts squirrel removal page for more information on our squirrel removal services for the greater Plymouth area.
Plymouth Skunk Removal
Rabies swept through the Plymouth area very hard in the last 3-4 years and it has taken its toll on the skunk population. We get very few skunk calls from this area. Visit our Skunk Removal page for more information on skunk removal in Plymouth.
The Raccoon population of this area has also diminished with the rabies outbreak that was mentioned above. However the Manomet section of Plymouth seems to still have more than its share of these crafty critters. Every year we see lots of raccoon damage at the summer homes in this area because of raccoons that have broken in over the winter. Visit this page to read about a Raccoon removal service story from a job we completed on the Cape. Please see our Massachusetts raccoon removal page for more info.
